How does it work?

The reinforced elastomer sleeves seal present against each other provides a full port opening, minimize instability and wear soon after the valve is opened up. The seats detach and shield all metal parts of the valve from coming in intact with the process. The sleeves bring a drop tight seal at the time of closing the valve. The valve has a unique feature that it has the ability in providing drop tight shut-off in bi-directional. The valve strokes are designed to expel a meager amount of slurry from the valve by keeping the gate path and seat area clear of the entrapped particles. Valves present in the Slurry Knife Gate prevent accumulation of slurry in the seat area which can be otherwise deterred the valve from closing. Hence its function is not like a traditional knife gate.
