V-TORK General Knife Gate Valves are specially designed and manufactured according to MSS SP/Customized to meet the worst working conditions in Pulp & Paper, Mining & Steel, Power & Chemical Industries, Water Treatment Industries to handle Semi-Solids, Abrasive Slurries, Dry-Ash, Chips, Fiber contents Pulps etc. The compact design of the valves facilitates light weight, minimum space for installing, easy operation and maintenance. The compact Knife Edge gate is manufactured from Stainless Steel Plates of various grades irrespective of Body material.
The bottom of the Gate is having Knife type edge which can cut through Semi-Solid or Paste type Pulp with possible fiber and solid contents, Fly ash, Chemicals with solid contents and ensure smooth shutdown operation and tight shut-off. The Knife gate valves are available in wide range of material. Trim options are available to suit individual requirements for various working.
At V-TORK Controls, we design and engineer knife gate valves that cater to the most demanding flow control needs across industries.
Our uni-directional knife gate valves are purpose-built for handling abrasive slurries, bulk powders, gases, and high-viscosity media. Among our knife gate offerings, five specialized models—U-160, U-250, U-340, U-610, and U-430—stand out for their distinctive constructions, mounting options, and application versatility.
The U-160 is a wafer-type uni-directional valve with a robust single-piece construction, suitable for both metal and resilient seat configurations. It supports sizes from 2” to 120”, handling up to 150 PSI CWP. Designed to fit tight piping layouts, this model is an excellent fit for applications involving abrasive slurries, powders, and hot gas lines. The valve conforms to MSS SP-81, SP-148, and SP-151 standards, with multiple actuation and material options available to suit different process conditions.
Built with the same engineering excellence as the U-160, the U-250 features a lug-type body to allow for dead-end service and easy maintenance in line systems. Available in sizes from 2” to 120”, this model shares the same pressure class and standards compliance. It’s particularly useful where isolation and modularity are crucial—especially in chemical, power, and mineral processing plants. The U-250’s compatibility with varied actuator types and special seat materials makes it a highly adaptable valve in complex process environments.
For systems requiring secure bolted connections, the U-340 flanged knife gate valve offers enhanced sealing reliability. Like the U-160 and U-250, this model supports a wide range of sizes and operates up to 150 PSI. Its flanged ends simplify integration into existing pipelines across industries such as sugar processing, steel, and wastewater management. With customizable trim and accessories, this valve ensures dependable performance for both slurry and bulk solid applications.
Engineered for high-temperature environments, the U-610 is a flanged model designed specifically for coal-fired and thermal power applications. It adheres to NFPA 85 standards and is available in sizes from 18” to 40”. With a metal seat design and high-temp finishing, it performs exceptionally in hot gas handling, boiler ash discharge, and abrasive particulate flows. The U-610 is ideal where performance, safety, and longevity are non-negotiable.
For applications involving non-standard flow geometries, the U-430 offers a unique solution with its fabricated square or rectangular port design. Suitable for sizes ranging from 150x150mm to 2500x2500mm, this model is favored in bulk handling, dry powder transport, and industrial slurry systems where circular ports aren’t viable. Its versatile fabrication supports special seat materials and construction options, making it a customizable choice for specialized installations.
While each model offers a distinct construction style, what unites them is their engineered reliability, tight shut-off, and low-maintenance design. Explore each product in detail to find the right fit for your operational needs.
